Who is the current Delta Programme Commissioner?

The current (and second)  Delta Programme Commissioner is Peter Glas. The first Delta Programme Commissioner was Wim Kuijken. The Council of Ministers appointed the latter in November 2009 for a period of seven years, and at the request of the House of Representatives he took office earlier (even before the final approval of the Delta Act) in order to start his work as quickly as possible. On 1 February 2017, he was reappointed for another term of office. Wim Kuijken retired as of 1 January 2019 and was succeeded by Peter Glas.
